The Ideal Person

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Software Developer to join a growing development team. If you are passionate about computer science/software development and have a strong academic background, this could be the role for you. With the support of further training and development from the Company, this is a great opportunity to advance your software development career.

You will, ideally, have 2+ years’ experience in industry, be a self-starter, with the ability and hunger to take written requirements through to producing functional and technical designs to create concise maintainable code. You will also be able to work seamlessly and collectively with all members of a well-established team gaining experience in the development of a globally used product.

Essential Criteria

  • Extensive commercial experience of writing complex and maintainable object orientated C# code in a self-directed environment. Main platform is .Net Framework with MVC
  • Experience building web services (REST API, WCF & SOAP)
  • An understanding of design patterns and SOLID principles and their application in C#
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft SQL Server
  • jQuery / JavaScript, CSS. Bootstrap or other front-end frameworks
  • Experience using GIT for source control
  • Experience of Entity Framework
  • Good problem-solving skills, ability to work well within a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to explain technical issues to technical and non-technical people and actively participate in knowledge sharing
  • Ability to write technical documents for systems developed
  • A self-motivated learner who keeps abreast of current technology
  • Good organisational skills

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure PaaS
  • Experience of .Net Core
  • JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue or Angular. Node.js and NPM
  • TDD
  • Microsoft certification
  • UI-UX design knowledge
