The Ideal Person

This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven, creative and resourceful Software Developer with 2+ years post-graduate experience to join a growing development team. With a focus on the front end, the ideal candidate will work on public facing websites for global brands. You will work closely with our experienced development team on various projects, developing client-side using HTML5, JavaScript and CSS.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and maintain multiple eCommerce websites
  2. Integrate new designs into existing website frameworks
  3. Implement the UI for new features following designs taken from the client
  4. Create and maintain a library of JQuery and C# components to be used across the suite of web applications
  5. Stay on top of the best technologies and trends to feed into the future roadmap of Firemelon web development
  6. Focus on performance and security, striving to make improvements not only to new and existing websites, but also to the development process
  7. Work closely with the development, QA, and project management teams.

Essential Criteria

  • 2+ years professional experience in Web Development using MVC, JavaScript, JQuery, HTML5 and CSS
  • Strong knowledge of C# with the ability to write well-structured, maintainable code
  • Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and WCF Services
  • An understanding of the importance of cross-platform and cross-browser compatibility and responsive CSS design
  • Excellent attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
  • Familiarity with GIT and Azure DevOps
  • Highly motivated, results oriented, with a focus on quality
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Desirable Criteria:

  • Familiarity with JIRA to manage projects
  • Microsoft Certification
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure PaaS
  • Knowledge and use of Performance Testing tools
  • An understanding of Http Security Headers
